These abstracted images give meaning to my journey of finding inspirations that can guide compositions. Finding shapes, lines and combinations of colours that allows for harmony and can guide you into the layers of evocative shapes that can begin to tell a story, one that I want to tell you through my art practice.

Inspiring composition images

When I go for a walk … Finding inspiration by looking and seeing beauty in the ordinary. When we let ourselves see, the world becoming a more interesting place and we find the unexpected.

Whether it’s a mask tautly attached to the yellow fire hydrant, something out of place, seeing shapes and colour instead of the functional object.

It happens when I let myself see what attracts me. A crack in a stone wall up close becomes a cavernous fracture, the curve in a road guard becomes lines that say ‘look at me’, and a rod iron fence dances as it moves in the sunlight and on it goes.

Each of us sees something different. What do you see when you start looking?
